Farmers markets for Newcastle Upon Tyne. There are lots on this site now. It is really worth a browse. Currently it is quite slow finding the markets so wait a few seconds for the list of markets to appear.

Local Food and Drink

mmm... and glug...

129 Grainger St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5AE, UK – 0191 222 1818

It took me quite a while to notice this store and passed multiple times, before finally going in. Great store with a huge selection of spices, herbs, cheese, beer and more. Definitely a place with some unique stuff, you won't find anywhere else in Newcastle. Will possibly go there more often.

Had a random visit of this store as I just happened to be passing - what a treat. Great selection of quality foods, and whilst obviously a little more expensive than a supermarket, it's not just a little bit nicer! Will be visiting again soon. (Got some of the tastiest garam masala here, curries are transformed)

Brighton Food Stores

14-18 Brighton Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 5NR, UK – 0191 273 1070

Good selection of South Asian food items including vegetables and grocery items. Fresh meat for very good price. Very helpful staff. Easy to find parking. Shops there every week.

They stock Indian food items like rice, masala powders, pickles, vegetables, snacks, etc. They even have south Indian rice variety (like Sona masoori, ponni, idly rice etc) as well as south Indian pickle varieties (mango, lime, tamarind etc). Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. They accept cash and card.

Potraviny Byker Polish Shop European Food

75 Shields Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 1DL, UK – 07502 237743

Its european food mini market. Good place I would recomend to everyone as you may find something new that no other grocery shops has

Absolutely fantastic service! Staff are so attentive, caring, shop is clean and offers you a wide range of products (meat, cheese, drinks, cakes, they have a freezer, lots of snacks), as well as if you can't find what you are looking for you can order it! Cannot get any better than this, and I hope in near future they will expand to a mini supermarket. Highly recommend!

BigBarn has a totally brilliant map for Northumberland showing all the local food producers. So if you want to know where your food comes from look no further!
The Kent & Sussex Tea and Coffee Company was established 26 years ago when the Smith family returned from India, where for two generations we had been involved with tea. The website contains information about all the different teas and coffees supplied together with regular updates on new additions to the range.
