Royal Victoria Infirmary

Queen Victoria Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4LP, UK – 0191 233 6161

Very good experience. Went to a minor injuries, staff was friendly and helpful, seems they know what they are doing. The hospital looks new, modern and clean, receptionist also friendly. Sorted out in about 1 hour time with everything. Compared to an A&E in London where just a waiting time is typically about 5 hours this is much better experience. I hope I won't have to visit healthcare services long time but if I have to I will be happy to use this hospital again.

Many good experiences over the years. Most recently on the early May bank holiday weekend my husband went to Minor Injuries with an eye injury. This was the Sunday at 9.20 ish. He was seen immediately and we were out by 9.40 Diagnosed, treated and home treatment provided. Dr very kind and helpful. I even got parked! Also re two emergency situations with myself and two with my daughter, the main A and E were wonderful. Swift response and kind stsff. What an asset to have.

5 stars... out of 100 stars. people were too friendly and sincere, sermon was too engaging and gospel centred. also, lack of proper cupholder infrastructure in the pews.

A friendly, warm community with truthful teaching.

Hillsong Newcastle UK

I bought the CD and spoke to some amazing people who Love Our Lord and Savior with True Hearts. Thank you, you are all amazing people. I pray Jesus Changes you from the inside out, this message is for everyone not just believers. None believers and believers alike will one day all see the wonder of God and every knee shall bow to Jesus.

Went at 10.10 on a weekday and it was closed. Would rather it was clothed.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Newcastle Upon Tyne

Marco Polo

33 Dean St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1PQ, UK – 0191 232 5533

Excellent tasting food. Good size portions and friendly staff. A happy customer wanting nothing more 👍

We all love this place and go there whenever we're in Newcastle. But the last couple of times it's been horrendously noisy due to large celebratory parties, which makes a quiet family dinner very difficult. Perhaps I'm too old for rowdiness!

Ury Restaurant

27 Queen St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3UG, UK – 0191 232 7799

Great restaurant. Quite happy to have us with young children too. Uthapam was excellent. Fish curry, outstanding. Authentic South Indian cookery. I plan to come again!

Delicious food and superb service if you are looking for genuine Indian food where some thought has gone into the menu this is the place.

Ottoman Turkish Restaurant

32 Clayton St W, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5DZ, UK – 0191 340 2838

We enjoyed a meal here in February 2018 for Sunday lunch. It was relatively.quiet whilst we were there and the restaurant were happy.to accommodate our young children and were able.to cater for my son who has several allergies. Decor inside is pleasant with old high beams and Turkish lamps and lanterns providing attractive lighting. The atmosphere was quiet but pleasant. There was a TV playing which was a bit distracting and unnecessary (and it was playing something which was quite weird as I recal). Service was polite and relaxed - if I was super critical it was a little bit slow. All that said I thoroughly enjoyed the food and it was reasonably priced. I'd happily return.

Had my birthday here Love the food ...great service lovely staff Value for money

The Co-operative Childcare

1 Neville St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5DP, UK – 0191 230 2466

Such an amazing nursery! Would recommend them very highly: Lovely friendly staff who can’t do enough to help you… There’s such a great atmosphere you can see why the same staff have stayed there years and years Delicious healthy food for the children each day :-) Always different and interesting toys and activities planned… probably why they got an OFSTED outstanding assessment! I also think it’s really helpful that they’re open longer hours than most nurseries: 7am-630pm My twin boys go there and they’ve always loved it… in fact even if we walk past on a non-nursery day they’re pointing at the door wanting to go in!

Willow Day Castle Nursery

Greenway, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 9TU, UK – 0191 274 4563

My son and grandson both attended willows, so I've experienced the nursery twice in 18 years, the first 18 years ago,and the last, two years ago, and I'm pleased to say,the very high standards of 18 years ago have not changed, there has been changes, but none have affected the quality of care or pre school education the little ones recieve. The level of support available to parents experiencing difficulty is fantastic, food for the children is prepared and cooked on site by willows own chef, and staff are all excellent. Lots of very food memories from willows, I'd urge anyone to at least take a look!

Chillingham Road Primary School

Fantastic school, which has become even more fantastic in the last couple of years since the new head and a few new teachers arrived bringing some fresh energy and ideas with them. Very learning-focussed, but in such a rich and deep way - learning about life and about the world not just what’s needed for SATs and ratings. Families with all sorts of different backgrounds and from different places around the world... people from all walks of life. Bullying virtually nonexistent due to the culture and ethos of the school and very good pupil policies.
